- Why should I use a CORGI registered firm?
There are lots of people out there who will carry out gas and plumbing work for a lot less than a CORGI registered firm, however you get what you pay for. Not only are they likely to leave the installation in a dangerous state(carbon monoxide), but with unregistered tradesmen you have no comeback when things go wrong, e.g. boiler warantees are void, your buildings insurance will not cover damage caused by flooding of un-registered installations. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is.
- It takes ages for Hot Water to come out of my taps, how can you help?
When you turn on a hot tap, water has to travel from your hot cylinder to the outlet, so all the cold water initially in the pipe has to come out first. We can install a 'Secondary Hot Water Circuit'that is a loop of hot water circulating under your floors so that when a hot tap is opened the hot water is only a couple of feet away, meaning instant hot water to your taps and shower.
- I have very low water pressure, what can I do about it?
Depending on your existing system there are a number of solutions, even with a combi boiler we can increase the pressure to your taps and shower by fitting a tank and pump before the boiler. Call us to discuss your options.
- What is a MegaFlo and can i have one fitted at my property?
A MegaFlo is a brand of 'Unvented' Hot Water Cylinder (high pressure). These are popular at the moment, although many plumbers do not understand the principals behind them. Many properties are not suitable for one, either the pressure is too low in their area or they have too many bathrooms. Call us to discuss your particular needs.
